Overwhelmed With Growing Up...
[No longer here: If you missed it then you should have been quicker! Shouldn't you!]
On January 17th 2006 I flew to the other-side of the world to Australia, to stay for 8 months, living and working during that time. Then in late June I was meant to fly on to San Francisco before making my way around the USA, but decided to push that back to live and work in Brisbane for 4 months, before going onto SF on August 16th. What did I see? What did I experience? Well, most of it was documented in detail here as I went - no evasion of reality...

hey tom - always find your posts inspiring. like i said on friday, if there is anyone that i've met who has the dedication / willpower to make their music happen, it is you.
we all come travelling for relatively the same reasons - a little bit of fun and alot of life experience. after hanging with you for the last few months i know that you've found your love of music comes first and foremost and you will never let that goal out of your sight.
after reading your blog i thought of this quote - which to me sums up the entire trip - good times and bad times alike:
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgment.
All of the ups and downs of this trip are what will make us wiser and more mature when we return home. The times we've had on the road will give us more life experience and knowledge than 10 years in front of books or office desks would have given us back home. That is the hidden beauty of travelling.
Enjoy. Don't rush through any of it. Keep working on your music. and If you're ever up for a beer, you know where to find me! ;)
